Aakash Dega

(and Wilma, my dog!)

First of all, thank you for taking the time to visit my page! Now a little bit about my background:

I have an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Mathematics from King’s College London, a Doctorate in law from Chicago, and I have passed the New York Bar Exam. As an attorney, I have represented clients in America, the UK and in front of the United Nations.

I have been an active tutor since 2012 and have helped students get into the best schools and universities in the country. My experiences have led me to running courses, advising charities and speaking at conventions.

Whether you are seeking academic enrichment, exam preparation, or professional development, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

Let's embark on a journey of learning and growth together!

About me

Experience

  • I have worked with students taking the pre-test for over a decade. Even though the content has stayed roughly the same, the common pre-test has shifted online and there has been an increase in school specific exams.

Your child is in safe hands. I have helped students get entry into the best schools in the country and made plenty of contacts along the way.

These schools include Eton, St. Paul's girls and boys, Winchester, Wellington, KCS Wimbledon, Harrow, Bedales, G&L, Sevenoaks, Highgate and South Hampstead - to name a few.

  • I have taught GCSE Maths & Science for years. My primary goal is to get my students to feel confident about the subjects. As a result, I want them to feel capable and happy with their ultimate performance in their exams. I do this with a combination of subject tuition and mentorship. I want my students to feel like they can contact me whenever they want and ask for advice on anything they might be going through.

  • I have a doctorate in law and have taught law for five years. My passion is in introducing students to law and giving them a realistic perspective of the profession.

I run courses where I give students a taste of various areas of law. I also run a criminal course where I take students to a crown court so we can watch a criminal trial together. This is followed by seminar work with the hope I can offer them career advice and a reference at the end.

I also work with undergraduate and post-graduate students to help them make sense of any areas of law they struggle with. I also want to help my students consider and bolster any job applications.
